Kankakee River Regatta

Thanks to everyone who worked to bring this great event back to our community!

Monee Moving Wall

It was an honor to be invited to speak at the Vietnam Moving Wall Opening Ceremony in Monee. This is a moving replica of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington D.C. and is a powerful symbol of our collective gratitude and respect for the sacrifices of all those whose names appear on the wall. Thank you to all of our veterans and to everyone who came out for this ceremony!

First Assembly of God Visit

I had the pleasure of being invited to give a legislative update to a group from the First Assembly of God. Thank you to everyone who came out to learn more about the work being done down in Springfield!

IDFPR On the spot event

Thank you to everyone who came out to our IDFPR On-the-Spot event, and thank you to IDFPR for hosting with us! I am glad we were able to team up and offer this great resource for constituents looking to be professionally licensed in the area.

KVAC Veterans Fair

I am so thrilled by the turnout for our Veteran Resource Fair! Thanks to the Kankakee VAC for working with us to provide this fair to our local veterans.

United Way Annual Dinner

My staff attended the United Way Annual Dinner! This is a great yearly event that celebrates all of the work United Way is doing in our community.

Congratulations Dr. Stonewall McCuiston

I had the pleasure of attending a surprise event at the Riverside Pembroke Clinic to honor Dr. Stonewall McCuiston for his 35 years of service as a physician to that community. I presented Dr. McCuiston with a certificate from the IL House of Representatives in recognition of his service.

I have had the honor of working with Doc in this community for over three decades, he is a treasure and dear friend! Congratulations!

Kankakee Legislative Breakfast

I had the chance to attend the Kankakee Legislative Breakfast, hosted by the Kankakee County Chamber of Commerce and the Kankakee County Farm Bureau. I spoke about my efforts to make our communities safer, address the cost of living crisis, and increase access to quality healthcare, and was honored to receive the 2024 Friend of Agriculture Award! Thank you for having me!
