If you're pro-life, you should want everyone to have access to prenatal care when they get pregnant, right?

Well here's the problem: 1 in 3 U.S. counties are considered "maternal care deserts," and abortion bans are GROWING that number. That means pregnant patients have to travel farther for prenatal care or simply go without it.

Does that sound pro-life to you?

This is so personal for me.

I'm an OBGYN. I have my masters in public health. I'm a mom to 4 boys — all of whom I had before I even graduated medical school. I also grew up Catholic.

And here's what I believe based on all of that:

Patients deserve to access the care they need. Doctors deserve to be empowered to provide the best care they can.

That's the OPPOSITE of what abortion bans do.

The danger of Republicans enacting a national abortion ban was simply too great for me to sit on the sidelines. (That's never been my style anyway. My mom always said, "You can't do it all, Krissy.")
