Friend, I want to give a special shout-out to everyone who's taken the initiative to make face masks that we can deliver for frontline workers and vulnerable community members.
On Friday, we dropped off a big batch of masks made by Team Dana volunteers at the Oswego Hospital. That same day, we also delivered a batch to the Rescue Mission in Auburn for people living in their temporary emergency housing in Malone Village. I've been truly blown away by the amount of time and energy so many of you have put into sewing these masks for people in vulnerable communities.
We have already delivered hundreds of masks! But there's still tremendous need. We can definitely use your help before our next deliveries of masks for a local food pantry and the region's farmworkers. You can sign up here: https://forms.gle/qHtx7koH2sZXwQdz6
Thanks!
Dana
P.S. Here are three helpful guides -- printable instructions, a picture tutorial, and a video tutorial. If you want to make masks specifically for the hospitals in Syracuse, you need to use this pattern. And remember to always use a tightly woven cotton fabric.
