The Abortionsphere is one giant roller coaster, and you never know what will greet you when you wake up each day. One minute is joyful, the next is horrific, and every second in between is just waiting for the other bullshit shoe to drop. Nothing exemplifies this better right now than Georgia!  

Georgia Was BACK to Providing Comprehensive Abortion Care!
Through the fog of the recent horror stories of people dying at the hands of Georgia’s barbaric abortion bans, a light shone through if even for a moment: a superior court judge STRIKING DOWN Georgia’s near-total abortion ban, which made abortions illegal past roughly six weeks! It was HUGE, with many clinics back to performing abortions up to 22 weeks almost immediately! For about 2 seconds, at least… 

But Of Course…Anti-Abortion White Walkers Won’t Let Us Have Nice Things
Literally one glorious week after the superior court’s ruling, Georgia’s Supreme Court reinstated the 6-week ban, because of course they did. After all, none of these decisions affect actual real life people who don’t give one single fuck about the ideological whims of despots and are just trying to live their lives! What else can you say when we live in a system where one week you don’t have healthcare, the next you do, and then it’s snatched from your hands once again? 

Even More Texas-Sized Outrage
The Supreme Court yesterday upheld the Texas ban on emergency abortions, ruling that the draconian law is somehow in line with federal guidelines that require emergency abortion care. We’d love for them to tell that to the twenty patients who sued the state because they nearly died from being denied abortions under that same Texas ban that SCOTUS ruled IS JUST FINE! The bar is in the Ninth circle of Hell.

And Lastly, The Patriarchy Pissing Match…

Fake Clinics SUCK
Crisis pregnancy centers, AKA fake clinics, AKA anti-abortion manipulation meccas all across the country receive MILLIONS of dollars to lie and mislead pregnant people. One fake clinic in Attleboro, Massachusetts is pushing its horrible tactics even further than we have seen and is now being sued for digital privacy violation. The fake clinic, called Abundant Hope Pregnancy Resource Center (notice they don’t list any medical services on the site and that they are no longer taking “new” patients…wonder why…), allegedly digitally intercepted patients trying to make REAL abortion clinic appointments to trick them into making appointments there instead! Because nothing says “love” like straight up lying to people.

HOW YOU CAN FIGHT BACK!
If you want to combat clinics like this Addlebrained, MA Fake clinic, Abortion Access Front has a whole program at ExposeFakeClinics.com! There, you can choose from several different ways to stop them, including writing Google reviews. These reviews inform people searching for abortion care to know that if they see imposters like this, they will not receive abortion care and could be subjected to coercion and data breaches. It’s a great way to fight back while hate-watching Emily in Paris. Or maybe that’s just us?
