The outside spending in Maine has gotten out of control. Dark money Super PACs are flooding the airwaves with attacks against Jared - including a new ad from the National Republican Congressional Committee this week!
All together GOP groups spent over $4 million against Jared just in September - the most of any House race in the country. Unfortunately, it’s only going to get worse between now and the election. That’s why we need to get big money out of politics!
These special interests think they can spend millions of dollars to influence Maine voters and help our opponent defeat Jared. But Mainers want an independent voice for us in Congress, not a bought-and-paid-for politician like our opponent Austin Theriault.
We know they’re not going to let up on their attacks, so the only thing we can do is make sure our message is cutting through the noise and then pass campaign finance reform.
