Hey --

I’m reaching out to make sure you saw this note from my team and, if you’re able to, ask you to make a contribution tonight.

Yesterday, Roll Call named me the fifth most vulnerable incumbent in Congress. And, if that wasn’t bad enough, just hours ago the election experts at Cook Political Report wrote this: “Brindisi might be the most vulnerable Democrat in the House, considering his blue-collar Upstate district voted for Trump by 16 points in 2016.”

No matter how you slice it, I’m a top target in 2020 -- and we’re only going to keep this seat if we raise the resources needed to stop incoming attacks. That’s why I had to email you directly to ask for your support tonight.

I hope you’ll consider chipping in now that you know how slim our chances of winning are.

Every dollar really does help. Thank you so much.

Subject: making sure you saw this

We’re sorry for the early email this morning, but we wanted to make sure you saw yesterday’s breaking news before you start your day: The election forecasters at Roll Call listed Anthony as one of the TOP FIVE most vulnerable members of Congress.

“[Brindisi] faces an uphill climb, considering Trump carried the upstate New York district by a wide margin and Republicans expect higher turnout from the president’s supporters in 2020.”

This latest rating all but assures that Anthony will be a top target of special interests and outside groups who want to buy back control of the House.

So we’re asking you directly: Will you pitch in to our highly-competitive election to ensure we can win this toss-up race and keep Anthony in Congress fighting for working families? >>

We hate to admit it, but the election forecasters are right -- Anthony is one of the most vulnerable Democrats in 2020 and defending this district will be an uphill climb. Our election was one of the closest in the country just two years ago, and with the president at the top of the ticket this time, it will likely be even closer this November.

But we’re up for the fight because frankly, this election is too important to sit on the sidelines.

Anthony has been a steady voice in Congress, fighting to protect our health care, bring jobs to Upstate New York, and support service families who sacrifice so much to keep us all safe. His work and his leadership are worth protecting.

If you’re able to give this morning, please rush a donation to support Anthony in one of the country’s most competitive elections. Every dollar makes a huge difference. >>
