Dear John, We admire powerful women athletes like Serena Williams and Megan Rapinoe, but it’s time for Nike to acknowledge the strong women workers who make Nike products. Watch our NEW CAMPAIGN VIDEO featuring union members Pooja from Stand Up Movement, Sri Lanka, Nde and Dedhe from SPN, Indonesia, and Sakinah from Garteks, Indonesia. These are just four of the thousands of women workers across South and Southeast Asia who have decided to organize and fight for equality and living wages in Nike’s supply chain, joining with Global Labor Justice and Asia Floor Wage Alliance in the Fight the Heist Campaign. |
Share the video today ON SOCIAL MEDIA - we may not have Nike’s advertising budget, but together we can project this powerful message so that Nike can no longer ignore it. X Facebook Instagram |
And stay tuned as more and more workers from Nike’s supply chain come out of the shadows to challenge Nike to live up to the values in its commercials. A recent Nike ad boasts, “If we can be equals in sport, we can be equals everywhere.” Well, Nike, listen to these women and address the inequality in your own supply chain first. |
