Dear Friends,

This morning, I was up early thinking about the stakes in holding the United States Senate. So much is at stake in whether Democrats hold the majority--reproductive rights, the Supreme Court for decades to come, our economic future, climate policies to save our planet, and so much more.

We must align our actions with how much we care about our future for ourselves, our children, and our children's children. Here are my targeted recommendations where our contributions, now, have the best chance of making a difference. (Giving now, with 28 days to go, is much more valuable than giving later, since the campaigns must make their final budgets with time to plan.)
Contribute to hold Sherrod Brown's seat in Ohio ([link removed])
Sherrod Brown works hard to strengthen the American dream for working families.
My first recommendation is Sherrod Brown in Ohio. The Harris-Waltz ticket will lose Ohio by somewhere between 5 and 10 points. Sherrod Brown will win many Trump voters, has been slightly ahead in the polls, and his opponent is one that Senator Brown can defeat. He will need all the resources we can raise to do it, so please contribute what you can: Sherrod Brown — Donate via ActBlue ([link removed])

Watch these 16 seconds and join me in contributing to win Colin Allred's race for the Senate

My second recommendation is Colin Allred in Texas. Mr. Allred has been ahead in two of the last five polls and can win this seat. Ted Cruz is uniquely unpopular due to being out of state during the power outage Texas went through years ago. Allred is also from the right part of the state (Dallas) and has the right bio (football player, Congressman, and attorney) to win. Please contribute what you can: Colin Allred — Donate via ActBlue ([link removed])
Contribute to Colin Allred's Campaign--He can beat Ted Cruz. ([link removed])
My third recommendation is Dan Osbourn in Nebraska. Mr. Osbourn is a labor leader who has built momentum and is ahead in two of the most recent polls. I would not recommend him to you if I did not think that he can win. When his campaign first showed strength, I was doubtful. I read more and I honestly believe he is our second-best opportunity to pick up the seat we need to hold the Senate. He is an independent, but a union leader who has shown his commitment to our shared ideals. Contribute to Dan Osbourn ([link removed])
Dan Osbourn is a steamfitter and former Kellogg's worker who has broad appeal.
My last recommendation is Angela Alsobrooks. I recommend her not because Maryland should be difficult, but because she is facing $18 million in attack ads from funds provided by Kenneth Griffin, a Republican megadonor. Ms. Alsobrooks was recently endorsed by the Post and President Obama, but I am genuinely concerned that she is in a tough race against Former Governor Larry Hogan. Her candidacy is important to our shared commitment to a Democratic Senate that better reflects our country. To contribute, go here: Angela Alsobrooks — Donate via ActBlue ([link removed])
Angela Alsbrooks has been a great leader for Prince George's County.
To be clear, there are other candidates who deserve our support. Tammy Baldwin in Wisconsin is up against a multimillionaire and needs funding. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell needs help in Florida and could win--she would have been on my list yesterday. Jacky Rosen in Nevada and Bob Casey in Pennsylvania round out my top tier. Jon Tester would be in that top tier, but I believe he has enough money that Montanas will decide that race. You may disagree--if so contribute as you are able to Tester and/or to the others.

What we cannot do is get caught wondering if we should have done more. Now is the time to live our values and invest in the future. So, please contribute what you can afford to help win the United States Senate.

Yours,

Matt
