Trump says immigrants have brought "bad genes" into America in latest disgusting racist attack
Stop us if you've heard this one before, but the disgraced ex-president and undisputed leader of the Republican Party sat down with conservative talk radio nimrod Hugh Hewitt to spew more horrendous, super-racist garbage across AM radio airwaves. Ratcheting up the xenophobia to fever pitch with four weeks left to go in the campaign, Trump complained that immigrants have filled the country with "bad genes" and used tired, worn-out lies about decades-old crime statistics to back up his morally bankrupt point. This isn't the first time the fascistic moron has spewed racist, Hitler-esque garbage, having cried out about immigrants "poisoning the (white) blood" of America in years past, and let's definitely not forget all those poor, missing pets in Springfield, Ohio, either. All of this hate-fueled fearmongering isn't just about winning over a few more disgruntled white voters, of course. It is also in service of advancing the convicted felon's grotesque mass-deportation plans as spelled out in the Project 2025 manifesto. Let's please retire this dangerous clown for good on November 5. [RETWEET THAT!]

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Trump, Republicans caught pulling disgusting stunt
With yet another massive hurricane set to make landfall in Florida in the next 24 hours, Republicans and their MAGA cult leader have been caught red-handed denigrating first responders and flat-out lying about the robust federal disaster relief effort underway in several southeastern states devastated by Hurricane Helene's destruction last week. While the federal response has been swift — and universally applauded by local officials and both Republican and Democratic governors alike — it has been utterly dwarfed by the sheer magnitude of baseless, right-wing disinformation by Trump-aligned goons hellbent on politicizing the catastrophe for personal and political gain. Brian Tyler Cohen calls them out for their bullshit with a little help from some recognizable friends.

Tammy Baldwin’s challenger compares birth control to drug trafficking
Tammy Baldwin for Senate: Mitch McConnell’s hand-picked GOP Senate candidate, California banker Eric Hovde, just said in an interview that the morning after pill is an “abortion” and compared it to trafficking “hard narcotics.” Hovde clearly is extremely ignorant of how reproductive healthcare works and doesn’t understand how important it is to the lives of American women. Tammy Baldwin has been a stalwart defender of reproductive rights for her entire career and will fight tirelessly to enshrine Roe v. Wade at the federal level. Will you donate to support her re-election campaign and protect our Senate majority from Eric Hovde?
"60 Minutes" kicks off with detailed explanation about why Donald Trump "backed out"
The MAGA cult leader ultimately chickened out of an extended sit-down interview with the vaunted CBS News program — a tradition that major-party candidates have participated in for more than 50 years — because he did not want his incessant lies and gross distortions fact-checked. The convicted felon also apparently wanted an apology for what he perceived to be a not-very-nice interview in 2020. Donald Trump: ever the victim, always the aggrieved. But sure, liberals are snowflakes.

Melania says team "betrayed" her with that Michelle Obama speech plagiarism scandal
Melania Trump has ruthlessly blamed the Trump campaign and singled out one particular staff member for the embarrassing scandal where she blatantly plagiarized a previous Michelle Obama convention speech, to the predictable derision of, ya know, people who notice such things. According to her new memoir, Melania felt "a profound sense of betrayal" by staff members over the saga and admitted there were "undeniable similarities" to Michelle Obama's 2008 DNC speech, lamenting the lack of vetting done by Trump staffers. Huh, lashing out and blaming others for one's own obvious mistakes. Sounds familial familiar...

New tape shows GOP Senate candidate slamming women as being "indoctrinated" into committing "murder" with abortions
Tim Sheehy, the Republican candidate for the US Senate in Montana, is under renewed fire after a new tape was unearthed by local media that showed him accusing women of being "indoctrinated" into the Democratic Party’s position on abortion, which he called "murder." In Sheehy's worldview, women clearly cannot think for themselves and have obviously been brainwashed into toeing the Democratic Party line on reproductive rights and bodily autonomy. Specifically, Sheehy vomited, "Abortion is their number one concern. It’s all they want to talk about. They are single-issue voters. It’s all about pro-choice, pro-choice, ‘Republicans are pro-life, they want to take my rights away and lock me up and throw me away in prison." Nope, nothing condescending, sexist, or utterly disqualifying about that rhetoric, Tim! Keep up the good work.
DeSantis administration threatens local TV station for airing abortion rights campaign ads
Goons working for failed presidential candidate and disgruntled full-time Gov. Ron Desantis have reportedly threatened a local TV station in Florida with legal action for airing an abortion rights campaign ad — otherwise known as exercising the right to free speech in a capitalist democracy. The ad in question is the same one that aired in Florida during the vice presidential debate between Tim Walz and JD Vance. It features a woman named Caroline who needed to have an abortion and cancer treatments after a brain tumor diagnosis in 2022. Such a difficult, unthinkable situation would have been needlessly complicated by Florida’s draconian six-week abortion ban on the books today, and DeSantis is apparently very not happy that Democrats are drawing attention to situation weeks before voters head to the polls for the most consequential election in our lifetime.
Trump shocks with horrifying promise of violence
Kamala Harris for President: In a recent rambling and incoherent speech, Donald Trump threatened to institute a "Purge"-like day of state-sanctioned violence if he returned to the White House — and that’s just the latest appalling promise from a would-be fascist dictator who has vowed to impose mass deportations, jail his political opponents, cripple our economy, and end democracy as we know it. Dose of Democracy is working with the Kamala Harris campaign to raise money and build the grassroots get-out-the-vote machine that we’ll need to defeat Trump in November. Will you make a donation to help elect Kamala Harris and stop Donald Trump once and for all?
Trump allies threaten Deloitte contracts after employee leaks Vance comments
Speaking of shakedowns, Trump allies and supporters have threatened the consultancy firm Deloitte with the loss of lucrative government contracts if the MAGA cult leader returns to the White House after the election in November because one of its employees leaked critical comments about Trump's presidential performance made by his running mate and one-time never-Trumper, JD Vance. Donald Trump Jr., led the warnings of retribution after The Washington Post published correspondence that showed Vance expressing negative views about the Trump administration long after he claimed he had become a supporter. The correspondence also showed Vance forecasting — accurately — that the con man would lose the 2020 election to Joe Biden. "I've never seen anything like this," Kedric Payne, the Senior Director of Ethics at the non-partisan Campaign Legal Center, told The Post. "You can't imagine that if one employee out of thousands made a statement that offended an official, that then the government contracts would be in jeopardy."
Top execs ousted at Trump Media after allegations of mismanagement and retaliation
The disgraced ex-president's media company has forced out executives in recent days after internal allegations that its CEO, former Rep. Devin Nunes (and probably also his cow), is mismanaging the company, according to interviews and records of communications among former employees. Several people involved with Trump Media believe the ousters are retaliation following what they describe as an anonymous “whistleblower” complaint regarding Nunes that went to the company’s board of directors. ProPublica has not seen the whistleblower complaint, but several people with knowledge of the company said the concerns revolve around alleged mismanagement by Nunes, including allegations of misuse of funds, hiring of foreign contractors, and interfering with product development. Shocking.
