John -- if you're anything like us, your inbox and text messages are filled with campaigns and organizations asking for donations.

But the sad reality is that a few of those groups make it look like your donation is going to elect Kamala, when really they are just keeping the money for themselves.

Here's one way to spot them: Our campaign will never do a 10x match or anything like it. We avoid those.

It stinks. Big time. People just want to chip in a few bucks to help defeat Trump, and their money is actually going elsewhere.

Our campaign has probably lost tens of millions of dollars because of it. And with close races in so many battleground states, that would be more than enough to make the difference.

We don't have a record of you donating yet, John, and we sincerely hope you haven't given elsewhere hoping it was going to us.

But we have to make up for that lost revenue. Because like we said, in states settled by only a few thousand votes, those funds are critical in reaching undecided voters or Democrats who don't vote in every election.
