John,

Today is both a solemn and important day in CA-34.

Ballots are starting to hit mailboxes, and the chance to shape the future of our community is now within reach.

This is our moment to reflect on what type of leadership we want to represent us in Washington—corporate-backed or community-grown.

As we kick off voting, we’re also marking the one-year anniversary of the tragic Oct. 7th attacks and the escalation of war in Gaza.

We mourn the lives lost and those injured in the brutal October 7th attack.

At the same time, we grieve for the hundreds of thousands of Palestinian lives, many of them children, lost in Israel’s relentless and ruthless genocidal campaign in response.

Now Israel has expanded this unspeakable violence into the West Bank, Lebanon, Iran, and beyond, pushing us all to the brink of a global crisis.

We urgently need a ceasefire agreement that will free ALL the hostages – including more than 10,000 Palestinian hostages held in Israeli prisons. And no ceasefire is possible without an immediate arms embargo and enforcement of U.S. and international law.

Let’s be clear: the current administration’s failure to curb Israel from launching preemptive attacks and violating international laws has only fueled this tragedy.

Despite crossing every red line put forth by the Biden administration, Netanyahu and his cabinet continue their deadly campaign with the full backing of U.S. weapons and funding.

Meanwhile, many corporate Democrats in Congress—at worst, cheer it on, and at best, stay silent.

This is why leadership matters.

This is why who we send to Washington matters.

If you’re ready to support leadership rooted in community values and untethered from corporate and military interests, then we need you with us today. Please make a contribution to help us continue spreading our message as ballots reach voters across CA-34.

In a recent interview, I had the chance to reflect on a core principle that guides our campaign: "how you do anything is how you do everything."

This is not rhetoric – it’s a test of values and integrity in every action we take.

When my opponent accepts money from AIPAC – his top donor this cycle – he isn’t just taking a massive campaign contribution. He's tacitly endorsing a lobby that has been complicit in policies that perpetuate suffering, displacement, and death.

This election is a clear moral choice. It’s a choice between business as usual, where corporate PACs and powerful interests determine our foreign and domestic policies, or real, accountable leadership that centers human rights, justice, and the well-being of all communities.

Our campaign is driven by a different vision — one where our actions align with our words, where we are unafraid to stand against powerful interests that perpetuate harm, and where the people — not corporate agendas — set the priorities.

Imagine a Congress filled with leaders unafraid to challenge reckless foreign policy, who reject the influence of the military-industrial complex, and who prioritize diplomacy over destruction.

I’m not claiming that one election can stop global conflict, but we must start somewhere.

With every community-backed leader elected, we shift the tide.

We prove that the values of peace and accountability are not dead in American politics.

Help us begin this change today, one ballot at a time.

Let’s vote for leaders who believe in compassion, justice, and putting people above profits.

With your support, we can start building a future in which our government reflects the highest ideals of our community, not the interests of wealthy defense contractors.

Contribute today to power our movement as voting begins in CA-34. Thank you for standing with us on this journey.

It’s time for us,

David Kim
