John,

Over the weekend, Roy's right-wing opponent tweeted a Bloomberg story which outlines that a majority of people who have died from COVID-19 in Italy also had pre-existing conditions or other illnesses, and added his own commentary:

Dan Forest: If this same trend exists in NC, the Governor has no moral, ethical or rational justification for his current strategy. Bloomberg News: '99% of Those Who Died From Virus Had Other Illness, Italy Says'

What Forest doesn't mention is that there are more than 4 million North Carolinians with the pre-existing conditions that would make them vulnerable to COVID-19.

It might be hard to believe, but Forest seems to think these 4 million North Carolinians don't deserve to be protected.

Unlike Dan, Roy has been fighting to protect all North Carolinians during this unprecedented crisis.

We hope everyone is staying safe during this ongoing health emergency. The Cooper Campaign is now working remotely, and we encourage all those who are able to practice social distancing. We've taken the step of cancelling all in-person fundraising for the time being, making grassroots online outreach and fundraising even more critical than before. Roy and the rest of the team will keep working for a more prosperous, better-educated, and healthy North Carolina, and we hope you will stay with us in this fight.
