Dear John,

My friend Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren is an unsung hero for defending our democracy and our Constitution.

I had not known Zoe well before our work together on the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th attack on the United States Capitol, but I was aware of her reputation as one of the most effective and respected Members of the House of Representatives. She is a thoughtful and serious member, and she operates with zero ego — a rarity in Congress.

Zoe has been a source of wisdom and good judgment for me and many Members in Congress. Although we don’t share many views on politics or public policy, I can assure you that we need Zoe in Congress and on the frontlines as we continue to protect and secure the future of our democracy in this next election.
