Mark your calendars, folks: In just two days, Pat will face off against his GOP opponent, Alison Esposito, on the debate stage for the very first time. The debate will air live on WPIX 11.1, PIX11.com, and the PIX11+ app on Wednesday, October 9 at 7 PM.

After months of hiding behind negative attack ads funded by right-wing billionaires and GOP super PACs, Esposito will have an opportunity to face some tough questions from Pat.

She is going to have to explain why she’s supporting Donald Trump, despite his support for the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. Because of that decision, more than a third of America’s women now live in a state with an abortion ban on the books.

She is going to have to answer why she supports Donald Trump despite his endless lies about the 2020 election and his threats to imprison his political adversaries.

And she will need to justify how she could possibly continue standing behind Donald Trump after he insulted Gold Star families and Medal of Honor recipients.

This election is about two fundamentally different visions for the future — and that contrast will be on full display on the debate stage Wednesday night.
