Friends, this is probably the longest email you’ll ever get from me.

But it’s also one of the most important, so it really would mean a lot to me if you could read through it.

If you’re in a hurry or if you’re already sold and ready to do whatever it takes to help me defeat Larry Hogan and defend our Senate majority, then please consider making a quick grassroots contribution to give us the resources and momentum to win this race in 4 weeks!

I want to outline our campaign's message to fill Maryland’s open U.S. Senate seat. It hinges on 3 major components:

Power to the People

This campaign has never been about me. It’s always been about Marylanders, our families, and our communities.

And when Republican Larry Hogan entered the race putting our Democratic Senate majority at risk, it became about the future of the entire country.

That’s why Republicans are pouring millions of dollars into this race. But during the Democratic Primary, we proved that Maryland is won by the many, not by the money.

We’ve never had limitless resources, million dollar checks, or shady dark money super PACs pulling the strings. Instead, we built a grassroots coalition of people in every corner of the state who stepped up to volunteer, donate, and talk to their neighbors about our campaign.

Your time and your contributions were the driving force behind our primary victory, and we need to continue building on that in order to win on Election Day.

Focus on the Issues that Matter

While Republicans are lining up to get behind Donald Trump and his divisive MAGA agenda, we're focusing on the issues that matter most to people — like protecting abortion rights, improving wages, and preserving our democracy.

My Republican opponent Larry Hogan hopes Marylanders won’t remember that as governor, he vetoed legislation that would have expanded access to abortion care throughout the state.

He’s banking on Marylanders forgetting that he vetoed a $15 minimum wage and legislation to benefit unions and workers.

He’s hoping Marylanders won’t realize that electing him means handing control of the Senate over to extremists like Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham.

On the issues that matter most, Hogan’s record speaks for itself: He’s all wrong for Maryland, and he’ll say and do whatever he thinks will win him this seat.

Make the Case for a Democratic Senate Majority

Here’s the truth: There simply isn’t any way Democrats maintain our razor-thin Senate majority if Larry Hogan wins this open seat.

Mitch McConnell handpicked Hogan for this race because he sees Maryland as his best chance to flip a seat, retake the majority, and enact his far-right, anti-choice agenda.

If the GOP retakes the Senate, they'll have the power to pass a national abortion ban, roll back environmental protections, undermine our elections, and so much more.

Hogan has proven that he cannot be trusted to protect our reproductive rights or put Maryland families first. Defending the Senate is the only way to protect our freedoms, uplift working families, and preserve our democracy.

We’ve got a winning message that’s resonating with voters, and I need your support to make sure everyone hears it. Can I count on you to chip in $25 to give our grassroots team the resources we need to reach Marylanders across the state?
