John -
We have less than one month to go until Election Day, and the swing state polls are too close for comfort.
You already know this election is make-or-break for our country’s ability and willingness to fight the climate crisis. Whoever is in the White House these next four years will have a massive impact on our country’s response to the climate crisis, environmental justice, and other key issues facing our communities. Plus, we have the chance to elect climate champions in countless down-ballot races for Congress, state legislatures, and local offices across the country.
That’s why 350 Action is partnering with the Environmental Voter Project to mobilize climate voters in battleground states to show up at the polls. Will you sign up to call voters with us during one or more of our upcoming phonebanks?
According to the Environmental Voter Project’s research, climate ranks among the lowest of priority issues among consistent voters and the highest of priority issues for low-propensity voters. That means we need to do everything in our power to encourage climate voters to make their voices heard in this historic election.
If we want climate change to be highlighted in candidate policy platforms, election media coverage, and priorities of elected officials, we need more representation at the polls — the interests of climate voters need to be seen as an urgent, high-priority issue for 2025.
A great way to ensure government officials see climate as a priority is to call climate voters and remind them to vote this November!
If you’ve never phonebanked before, don’t worry — we’ll train you! With only 28 days left, we need all the help from grassroots supporters like you that we can get.
Thank you for any time you can contribute to help make a difference in this critical election.
Together,
Candice Fortin, 350 Action
