The excitement surrounding Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign has created a significant increase in voter registration. Voto Latino also noticed that a large part of the voters we registered since are young Latinos between the ages of 18-29!
María Teresa Kumar, Voto Latino President & CEO, was recently interviewed by the Hill and was asked to comment on the recent uptick in young voter registrations:
|
“I think for young people, it’s a genuine, authentic enthusiasm. And I say this because … the moment she announced, we saw young voters tick up. It was nuts. So we were registering roughly 60 to 100 voters a day on Friday. On Monday, it jumped to 3,000. By [the next] Friday, it was 8,000. It was super exciting.” |
We need your help to register young Latino voters across swing states. Will you donate to power our efforts?

Young Latino voters across the country have shown us they’re excited to support a candidate who will champion reproductive rights, defend our democracy, and protect our freedoms.
This is an opportunity we cannot miss, John. We need to make sure they cast a ballot this November.
Voto Latino has committed to registering 500,000 new Latino voters before Election Day, and we’ve already registered 133K! Will you donate to help us reach our goals?
Let's get it done!
