I think Kamala Harris being the Democratic nominee for President is a rediscovery of what hope feels like, in a much deeper way.
It’s the difference between bailing out a boat, and sailing a boat. When you’re so consumed with, “How do we keep this thing up?” — it’s stressful, and important.
But now — we can look up and say, “Where do we want to take this thing?”
And to me, the long term of where we want to take this is people’s joy, dreams, and the fight for guaranteed healthcare, for a living wage, and for union jobs.
There are just 29 days left until we have a rare and precious opportunity to elect a President who is for the middle class — because she is from the middle class.
