John, we know you get a lot of emails, which is why we try not to be like other email programs. We try to give you information you won’t get anywhere else: a raw, unadulterated look at our economy, government, and the wealthy interest groups that control them.
In 2020, this community of troublemakers has already made an impact. You’ve held our politicians accountable and ensured that they empower vulnerable communities – especially during this current crisis – and not just the fat cats who donate to their campaigns.
In the face of an economic crisis the modern world has never seen, you made sure our elected officials are fighting for everyday people who desperately need support. You’ve fought for a strong progressive economic response, and, if we don’t let up, we can keep pulling our governments – both local and national – in the right direction.
To help with our advocacy efforts, we’ve recently employed a new tool, New/Mode, which has enabled members of this community to easily contact their legislators. So far this year, this team has sent over 13,000 emails to lawmakers demanding that they fight for progressive change. Actions like these are critical to our efforts to improve this country, so please – keep clicking, keep sending your messages, and keep making your voice heard.
While we are proud of what we’ve accomplished so far this year, we know we still have a long way to go. Coronavirus has upended our lives, thrown the economy into disarray, and we have a new fight to fight. To continue improving as an organization, we wanted to reach out directly to you to ask your opinion on what we do well and what we can do better.
What you tell us now will inform the fights ahead – and we’re counting on you to make sure we’re doing everything we can to advocate for the 99% of people in this country who aren’t millionaires and billionaires.
As a top troublemaker, will you click here and tell us what we can do to pass progressive policies across the country and make sure we support those who need it the most?
This year we need your help more than ever. Tens of millions of folks are out of work, our economy is on the brink of collapse, and trickle-downers are trying to use this crisis to grab an even larger share of our wealth and power. We must fight back, and we can’t do that without your help. Thanks for being here when it matters most.

Best, Stephen Paolini
