Everyone deserves a safe and accessible voting experience. Unfortunately, this isn’t the reality at all polling places. Many disabled people have had our rights disrespected while trying to vote.
It’s important that disabled people know our rights at the polling place. That way, we can advocate for ourselves when we don’t get our rights. ASAN is here to help!
Our second get out the vote webinar, all about knowing your rights as a voter, is happening this Thursday, October 10th, at 2:30 PM ET!
In this webinar, we will talk about:
- Your right to a safe and private vote
- What to do if your polling place is inaccessible
- How to get help if your rights are disrespected
Register to join us on Thursday, October 10th at 2:30 PM ET. The webinar will last around an hour. The webinar will be on Zoom and will have CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation). The webinar will also be shared on Youtube after it finishes.
If you have any questions or would like to request any additional accommodations such as ASL interpretation, please email [email protected] by the end of the day October 7.
