Team —
As the economic impact of the coronavirus grows, the United States Postal Service is at risk of running out of money by June and even collapsing entirely.
Millions of Americans rely on the USPS to get what they need — that means everything from prescription drugs, Social Security benefits, care packages from loved ones, news, bills, and mail ballots so they can vote safely from their home.
That’s why we must make sure the USPS is functioning through this crisis — and through the November election to keep voters safe while still exercising their right to vote, especially as vote-by-mail programs are expanded in other states.
We saw what happens when voters are forced to choose between their health and heading to the ballot box in person right here in Wisconsin. We cannot allow the same disaster to happen across the country.
But Donald Trump refuses to provide relief for this critical lifeline and has vowed to veto any bill that would save our post offices. Instead, he’s using our postal service as a political pawn during this pandemic.
We must do everything in our power to save the USPS, especially during this crisis. Will you sign my petition to demand emergency funding for this critical public service before it’s too late?
I’m grateful for our postal workers. I’m sure you are, too. That’s why I’m hoping you’ll join me in demanding emergency relief today.
Thank you for making your voice heard.
