John, our campaign often gets the question: “Who is Kamala Harris?”
It’s simple, really.
In the face of injustice, she speaks out.
In the face of bigotry, she stands up.
In the face of Donald Trump, she walks across the stage, looks him in the eye, and shakes his hand.
She is our next President of the United States.
Pictures say a thousand words, so before we share some of our favorite parts of her story with you, we’re hoping you’ll pitch in $25 right away to help us win this election.
Family is at the heart of who Kamala Harris is (if you couldn’t tell, she’s in the yellow jacket on the left). Her mother was tough and courageous, and she taught Kamala and her sister, Maya, to never complain about injustice -- but to do something about it.
Kamala did exactly that. In 2004, she became the first Black woman to be elected District Attorney of San Francisco. Then in 2010, the first Black woman to be elected Attorney General of California. Every time she stepped in the courtroom, she stood proudly before a judge and said five words: Kamala Harris, for the people.
Fast forward some years, and as senator, Kamala Harris held Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh to account during his confirmation hearing.
These are just a few of the highlights from Vice President Harris’s lifelong career of fighting for the people.
Now, it’s OUR chance to make a new memory that gets on this photo board. The memory of electing Kamala Harris as our next President of the United States.
One more time because this is so important: Can Vice President Harris count on you to pitch in $25 or more today? Our final FEC fundraising deadline is coming up soon, and with recent polls showing us tied with Trump, we need folks like you to chip in.
