 Friend, While no Democrat presidential nominee has won Montana since 1992, the Montana Senate race, as the Wall Street Journal writes, “is national in the sense that the nation is paying attention - as well it should, given that a Sheehy victory would almost certainly mean a Republican Senate.” Friend, I don’t mean to alarm you, but this is a big deal. Since I last wrote to you, my Senate race has become the most expensive in U.S. Senate campaign history. I’m trying to get that to sink in - I never thought we’d be in this position. Friend, to put things into perspective, there is so much money being spent in this race it’s costing us $314+ to reach just one Montana voter. If you’re ever curious to know why we’re texting and emailing you daily, that’s why. My opponent, the Wall Street Journal notes, “has been in close races before and pulled them out. His widest electoral margin in his three Senate victories was less than 4%.” I’m looking for help today.
