I need to be upfront about a risky decision our campaign made and why your support is so urgent.

Republicans have ramped up vicious attack ads against me as they seek to flip Wisconsin red and deliver the Senate majority for Republicans — and Mitch McConnnell’s super PAC just launched an eight-figure ad blitz on top of that. I hate to admit, but their strategy is gaining traction.

Too many recent polls to count show Eric Hovde and me locked in a statistical tie. Multiple elections experts have shifted our race in Republicans’ direction.

We can’t let this massive ad blitz go unanswered. We’re being outspent 2:1 and there’s no signs of that changing before Election Day. If we do nothing, Hovde will continue his climb in the polls and could eventually pull ahead in this toss-up Senate race.

That’s why we had to respond: We launched new campaign ads to set the record straight and prevent Republicans from drowning us out.

The catch is, the money wasn’t in our original October budget. We’re now facing a budget shortfall and we may not be able to keep our ads on the air for long.

We made the risky decision to push forward anyway because staying silent wasn’t an option — and I knew grassroots supporters like you have never let us down when we’ve called on you to help us out.
