This week, let’s take a moment not just to stand with them, but to take action. Let’s educate ourselves about how our election system works, share that knowledge with others, and become vocal advocates for the integrity of the process — and for those who make it all possible.

Here are 4 things you can do NOW to stand strong for free and fair elections:

1. Check out HowElectionsWork.org: Learn how election officials ensure every eligible voter’s ballot is counted as cast. Get credible information from the most authoritative source — state election officials — about elections and voting.

2. Sign our Pledge: Show your support for election workers by pledging to protect the dedicated public servants protecting our democracy.

3. Watch “The Officials”: This powerful documentary offers a behind-the-scenes look at the election officials — including two members of our Faces of Democracy! After you watch, take action to support them, including hosting a screening in your community.

4. Be a Voter: Visit HowElectionsWork.org to learn how to register or update your voter registration, make a plan, and learn what’s on your ballot in your state.
