It’s the (last) Dan-iversary -- marking 15 years since the infamous day in which Dan Lipinski was gifted a seat in Congress by his father, Bill.
This story perfectly encapsulates Chicago politics: In what we can only imagine was the smokiest of back rooms, an 11-term incumbent used machine connections and dirty tricks to hand power over to his son on a silver platter without any input from voters.
Seven terms later, we’re building the grassroots campaign that can finally defeat Dan Lipinski. But we know what we’re up against -- a network of powerful interests with deep pockets and dirty tricks. You better believe that they are actively working against us, trying to undercut Marie at every turn.

Lipinski and his friends have been trying to attack Marie as part of a “radical left,” as if ensuring people have health care and fair wages or supporting LGBTQ equality and a woman’s right to choose are radical ideas.
It’s preposterous.
Unlike our opponent, we’re not accepting corporate PAC or lobbyist money. Marie has made it clear from the very beginning that she will not be owned by wealthy special interests. This is a campaign powered by people like you, one donation at a time.
