Never Forget the Evil That Took Place on October 7

The anniversary of Hamas invading Israel. New York Post: There are rare moments when history illuminates the conflicts of our age and gives us a chance to choose good over evil. Oct. 7, 2023, was this moment for our lifetimes. That day, one year ago, we saw the devil on earth. The Hamas terror group invaded Israel and carried out the deadliest massacre of Jewish people since the Holocaust. With Iranian backing, they murdered, raped, wounded and tortured thousands of Israelis and foreign nationals, and dragged hundreds off to Gaza as hostages. Since then, Israel has been fighting for survival and for justice. There are still tens of thousands of Israelis displaced from their homes in our country’s north (New York Post). AP: This will not be easy to read or view, but it’s essential as we approach the first anniversary of the horrific October 7th massacre. We must remember what the Palestinians who entered Israel that day did to men, women, the elderly, children, and babies. These are just a few of the thousands of images and footage from that day, showing the true face of genocide (X).

Trump Draws Massive Crowd in Heroic Return to Butler
Townhall: Elon Musk got the party started at former President Donald Trump’s first rally back in Butler, Pennsylvania, after just narrowly surviving an assassination attempt. In a rare appearance, Musk showed his support for Trump among a crowd of 60,000 people, donning a black Make America Great Again hat (Townhall). Washington Times: For his supporters, Donald Trump’s triumphant return Saturday to the site where a would-be assassin’s bullet came within inches of ending his life perfectly encapsulated the grit and tenacity that has made the Republican presidential nominee a political savior in the eyes of millions. The small city of Butler before the shooting was just another one of the countless blue-collar communities across the nation that have abandoned Democrats in favor of Mr. Trump’s populist message. After the shooting, Butler is a symbol of Mr. Trump’s campaign — and more than that, his life (Washington Times). Elon Musk: Incredible crowd today at the rally in Pennsylvania (X). Daily Wire: Former president Donald Trump took a moment of silence at his Butler, Pennsylvania, rally on Saturday to honor a retired fire chief who died at a rally in the same venue 12 weeks prior. Corey Comperatore attended Trump’s Butler rally on July 13 and died shielding his family as an assassin located on a nearby rooftop attempted to kill the former president. Trump returned to Butler on Saturday to complete the rally that ended in tragedy 12 weeks before. At 6:11 p.m. on Saturday, exactly 12 weeks from the assassin’s first shots, Trump held a moment of silence for Comperatore, who’s uniform covered an empty seat at the rally in his honor (Daily Wire). Hugh Hewitt: This is quite amazing. Nobody has any idea of the turnout to come by the close of voting on November 5, but it hard to imagine that VP Harris and her team are not worried about an unprecedented “great, silent majority” emerging (X).

Kamala Harris Announces a $157 Million Relief Package… For Lebanon
Townhall: Vice President Kamala Harris announced that the United States will cut a massive check to Lebanon in humanitarian aid as American hurricane victims suffer from no water or electricity. According to Harris, the money will address the “needs” of civilians affected by the country’s ongoing humanitarian crisis, such as food, shelter, water, protection, and sanitation…This came just days after the Department of Homeland Security claimed it did not have enough money to help the victims of Hurricane Helene. In addition, Harris announced that the U.S. government would give just $750 to those in need after the storm (Townhall). Kamala Harris: The people of Lebanon are facing an increasingly dire humanitarian situation. I am concerned about the security and well-being of civilians suffering in Lebanon and will continue working to help meet the needs of all civilians there. To that end, the United States will provide nearly $157 million in additional assistance to the people of Lebanon for essential needs such as food, shelter, water, protection, and sanitation to help those who have been displaced by the recent conflict. This additional support brings total U.S. assistance to Lebanon over the last year to over $385 million (X).

Tim Walz Defends His Record Providing Government Benefits to Illegals in Minnesota
National Review: Minnesota governor Tim Walz appeared on Fox News Sunday for an adversarial interview after his unsteady vice presidential debate performance this past week. Walz went back and forth with Fox News host Shannon Bream on a range of subjects, including his governing record on illegal immigration and well-documented history of misstatements about his life. Under Walz, Minnesota allows illegal immigrants to receive government benefits such as free tuition at state universities and free health care if they enroll in a program meant for low-income residents (National Review). Trump War Room: Walz DEFENDS signing into law free driver’s licenses, free college, and free health care for illegal immigrants: “Minnesota ranks as a top five business state!” This is what’s to come in a Harris-Walz administration — paid for by taxpayers, while citizens come last (X).

Hillary Clinton Urges Social Media to Censor Speech or Else: “We lose total control”
Free speech terrifies leftists. Daily Wire: Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said during an interview over the weekend that there needed to be more regulation and censorship on the internet or else the government will lose “control” (Daily Wire). Journalist Tom Elliot: Hillary: “We should be in my view, repealing something called Section 230, which gave platforms on the internet immunity … Whether it‘s Facebook or Twitter or X or Instagram, or TikTok, whatever they are, if they don‘t moderate & monitor the content we lose total control” (X).

Karine Jean-Pierre Denies FEMA Funded Illegal Immigrants
Townhall: As Townhall has been covering, the Biden-Harris administration’s response to Hurricane Helene has been just awful. Unsurprisingly, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has offered poor defenses, including when it comes to FEMA’s shameful failures. According to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, the agency is out of money for hurricane season, though illegal immigrants have received assistance, and the agency has been focused on “equity.” During Friday’s press briefing, Jean-Pierre was confronted about how “former President Trump is accusing the Biden administration of using FEMA funding to support undocumented migrants,” with the reporter wanting to know “how is the White House responding to that?” Jean-Pierre sought to deny Trump’s point, emphasizing “it is a false statement,” as she hid behind a fact-check from The Washington Post (Townhall). Greg Price: Karine Jean-Pierre just said it is “categorically false” that FEMA uses it’s funding to resettle illegal aliens. This is in spite of the fact that it is literally advertised directly on FEMA’s website (X).

State Audits Indicate Minnesota Governmental Fraud, Tim Walz Refused to Hold Officials Accountable
CNN: One state audit found that bonus checks intended for frontline workers during the pandemic were handed out to undeserving recipients. Another criticized a Minnesota state agency for failing to ensure there were no conflicts of interest in taxpayer-funded mental health and addiction programs. A third detailed lax oversight of a program to feed needy kids which federal prosecutors say resulted in the nation’s largest Covid-era fraud scheme. But when confronted with these and other troubling examples of waste, fraud and abuse, some state agencies working under the administration of Democratic Gov. Tim Walz repeatedly minimized or dismissed the allegations, the state’s nonpartisan auditor (CNN). Washington Free Beacon: Minnesota lawmakers and officials criticized Gov. Tim Walz for not holding his administration accountable for “massive” fraud schemes related to pandemic-era aid programs, saying the responsibility “falls squarely on his shoulders” (Washington Free Beacon).

Kamala Harris Absolutely Stumped When Teleprompter Stops Working During Rally
Townhall: It’s been a brutal couple of days for Kamala Harris. Her 2024 campaign isn’t where it should be less than 45 days from Election Day; the polls aren’t showing her with any momentum, and she’s dealing with the prospects of a massive regional war in the Middle East, along with a tepid and incompetent response to Hurricane Helene. The ports strike has been temporarily halted, so that’s one domestic crisis off this administration’s plate. The hurricane response has been atrocious, but what do you expect from this Biden-Harris duo? One’s mind is applesauce, while the other cannot function without a script. At a Michigan rally this week, the teleprompter conked out, forcing the vice president to improvise on the spot. The results were not pretty (Townhall). Trump War Room: Kamala’s teleprompter briefly went out at the beginning of her speech — you can tell the exact moment it happened. She had absolutely no idea what to do or say. Humiliating (X).

UNRWA Considered for the Nobel Peace Prize
Just the News: The United Nations Relief and Works Agency, (UNRWA), which is the Palestinian refugee agency, is potentially being considered for a Nobel Peace Prize, experts say. Other groups being considered include the International Court of Justice and UN chief Antonio Guterres. However, UNRWA has gotten pushback and criticism for having some of their workers being directly tied to the terrorist group Hamas, which attacked Israel almost a year ago, killing about 1,200 people and kidnapping 251 more, resulting in the ongoing war in Gaza. Hamas’s top leader in Lebanon, who was killed recently in an Israeli air strike, was a high ranking member of UNRWA. He has been identified as Fateh al-Sharif and he reportedly worked as a school principal for the agency (Just the News). Joel Petlin: UNRWA employees actively participated in the October 7th massacre. The ICJ ignores every conflict in the world in order to focus on unfairly punishing Israel. Gutierrez at the UN has done absolutely nothing to free the hostages. The Nobel Peace Prize? Are you kidding me (X)?

Florida Prepares for Another Hurricane
It is expected to reach Florida by Wednesday. NBC: Governor Ron DeSantis increased the number of Florida counties under a state of emergency from 35 to 51 on Sunday ahead of the Milton’s impact. DeSantis issued Executive Order (EO) 24-214, Emergency Management – Tropical Storm Milton, now hurricane, on Saturday evening only including 35 counties, now 16 more have been added under precaution to what is expected to be a “catastrophic major hurricane” (NBC). Fox 13: The heaviest rainfall is forecast to be from the I-4 corridor and southward, where a widespread area could see 5–8 inches of rainfall over the next week. Some areas may get almost a foot of rain. Much of the rain will be spread out over several days, so widespread flooding is not expected, but issues could arise where thunderstorms repeatedly move over the same region (Fox 13).
