Right now, about 30,000 new coronavirus infections are reported every day in America.
A document leaked Monday from within the Trump administration itself predicts that number could explode to 200,000 infections every day by the end of this month.
With an absolutely staggering rise in fatalities as well.
Meanwhile, Jared Kushner, Mike Pence and Donald Trump himself are disingenuously yammering about “success” and “reopening.”
Even though their own estimates — which, not surprisingly, have so far tended to be too low — warn of an almost unfathomable surge in illness and death just weeks from now.
It’s as if they simply don’t care how many of us die.
The leaked document appears to be from the federal government’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Department of Homeland Security — all of which, of course, are funded by taxpayers.
It is beyond absurd that our access to vital information can come down to what does and does not get leaked by this travesty of an administration.
Tell the CDC, HHS and Homeland Security:
Do not keep Americans in the dark. Release the updated coronavirus predictions and the data behind them.
Add your name.
Thanks for taking action.
Stay safe.
