Hi John --  This is a quick reminder that Friday’s Virtual Lunch & Learn will be an excellent opportunity to get an update on the work of the Maine Climate Council. I hope you will plan to join us for this webinar from 12:00-1:00 PM on Friday! Here is the link to register.

Warmly, Rani

Dear John,

We are heartened by the ongoing commitment of Gov. Mills and her administration to keep the work of Maine’s Climate Council moving forward despite the enormous challenges our state is facing with COVID-19.

Join us for a Lunch and Learn on Friday, May 8th from 12:00-1:00 PM to get an update on the Council’s work to develop a new Climate Action Plan for Maine that ensures a reduction in carbon pollution of 45% by 2030 and 80% by 2050, aids communities in adapting to the serious and costly changes to be wrought by the climate crisis, and builds a clean energy economy for all Maine people.

Featured speakers include:

  • Hannah Pingree, Director of the Governor’s Office of Policy, Innovation, and the Future

  • Jerry Reid, Commissioner, Maine Department of Environmental Protection

  • Dan Burgess, Director, Governor’s Energy Office, State of Maine

You’ll learn more about the Council's sector-specific Working Groups; plans for public engagement; and opportunities to get involved.

Register here!

I hope you’ll plan to join us!
