Time flies, John!

It's hard to believe that we're this close to election day. In just under a month, our fellow citizens here in Iowa and across the country will head to the polls and make their voices heard.

Trust me when I say I know just how long and arduous the campaign season can be. It seems like you're being bombarded with texts, emails, flyers, and ads, all from candidates who are vying for your attention (and money) without answering one important question: why?

I'll level with you, John. Governor Reynolds won our district by 10 points last election. Being the only Democrat at the State Capitol from 32 counties in Northwest Iowa, the Republicans want me out.
