Lauren Boebert has joined in on spreading dangerous, and flat-out incorrect
rhetoric that Democrats don’t want to provide hurricane relief while Americans
are left to fend for themselves after Hurricane Helene.

First of all, President Biden has been providing relief to those in need from
the moment the dust settled from this horrific storm. But to add insult to
injury,Lauren Boebert voted to SHUT DOWN the government right in the middle of
it.

82 Republicans—including Lauren Boebert—voted to leave FEMA and disaster
relief programs without full support when people in Florida, Georgia,
Tennessee, and Western North Carolina need it most. If she had her way, FEMA
wouldn’t even be in operation to assist victims of Helene.

The consequences of a shutdown are always serious, even more so during a
disaster like this:

* FEMA services would be severely underfunded, delaying vital recovery
efforts and leaving communities without the resources they need.
* Flood insurance programs could collapse, making it impossible for
homebuyers to close on properties, while those affected by the hurricane are
left with even fewer protections.
* Long-term recovery projects would come to a grinding halt.
Lauren Boebert and her cabal of MAGA extremists like MTG and Matt Gaetz are
more concerned with going viral and advancing MAGA talking points than ensuring
our people are taken care of.
