John,
Good afternoon, and welcome to our
Weekend Update.
Last night, I returned to the Butler
County Fairgrounds to welcome President Donald J. Trump back to
Pennsylvania and the site of the assassination attempt on July 13.
This was a solemn event as we honor a great American, Corey
Comperatore, who lost his life at that July rally. President Trump
greeted the Comperatore family at the airport. Click
here to listen to renowned tenor Christopher Macchio performing a
stirring rendition of Ave Maria in remembrance of Corey
Comperatore.
At the same time, this rally was
exciting because it paid tribute to President Trump's survival of that
heinous attack. The 50,000+ crowd was energized and so proud to be in
attendance and to stand with our next President. I joined Fox
News before the event to discuss this event and the importance of
winning Pennsylvania. Click
here or below to watch.
It was a star-studded event, and I
was proud to be joined by dozens of my colleagues, Pennsylvania's next
U.S. Senator Dave McCormick, and even businessman and patriot Elon
Musk. Below, I am pictured with Congressman Mike Kelly and Dave
McCormick. This is the same way we were sitting on July 13th, just
feet away from where Corey Comperatore was tragically killed. Corey's
wife and children are seated beside us, and so are Eric and Lara
Trump.
(Pictured below with
Congressman Guy Reschenthaler)
I have never seen a bigger crowd at
a political event! The left-wing media will try to downplay how
massive the crowd was, but I took a video that shows just how massive
the crowd is to show you the truth. Click
here or below to watch.
The President gave an amazing
address. As he said, we are going to WIN, WIN, WIN! Click
here or below to watch his performance.
The President gave us a great shoutout. I
am so proud to be on President Trump's team. I am confident we will
win Pennsylvania and deliver him the White House. Click
here or below to watch the President's shoutout.
Coming off an outstanding debate
performance, our next U.S. Senator, Dave McCormick, was at the rally
as well. President Trump gave him a great shoutout. We need Dave to
win this seat and help us take back the U.S. Senate. Click
here or below to watch.
In the days leading up to the rally in
Butler, President Trump spoke with NewsNation about why he
wanted to return to the site of the tragic assassination attempt.
President Trump said he promised the people that day that he would be
back to finish that rally. Click
here or below to watch his remarks.
I joined "Fox & Friends Weekend" this
morning to discuss my perspective on the rally. It truly was an
emotional tribute to Corey Comperatore and a testament to President
Trump’s leadership. I was honored to sit with Corey’s family and
witness their strength during such a poignant event.
President Trump’s return to Butler after the assassination attempt
showed true American resilience—we get knocked down, but we get back
up. FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! Click

On Tuesday, our next Vice President,
Senator J.D. Vance, articulated the America First agenda very
effectively and in a manner the American people can relate to. He
highlighted policies that reflect the interests of most Americans,
unlike Walz, who couldn’t defend the failed ideas of Biden-Harris and
Harris-Waltz… big government, higher taxes, burdensome regulations,
energy dependence, an open border, and chaos around the world. The
difference between the campaigns couldn’t be clearer: Vance and
President Trump are open about who they are and what they stand for,
inviting Americans to know them and their policies. Meanwhile, Harris
and Walz are desperately hiding from their record, afraid of letting
voters see who they really are and what they truly represent. If
Harris had any plan to correct course, she would stop saying she’d
make changes on “Day One” and implement them now. Harris’ “Day One”
was three and a half years ago. I joined CNN's "CNN News Central" with
Boris Sanchez to discuss. Click
here or below to watch.
I also joined “The Rich Zeoli Show” on
1210 WPHT. We discussed JD Vance’s impressive debate
performance, Trump’s return to Butler this Saturday, and the many
failures uncovered by the Task Force investigating the first
assassination attempt. Click
here or below to listen.
Check out my interview on
WILK with Rob O’Donnell! We discussed Three Mile Island, the
need to restore American energy dominance, last night’s Senate debate,
Trump’s return to Butler, and much more. Click
here or below to listen.
Today, my interview with Dennis
Owens on "This Week in Pennsylvania" with WHTM-27 ABC News
aired. I discussed the many reasons we should support President Trump
and my frustration over any Republican supporting Kamala Harris. I
would ask any Pennsylvanian still struggling with who to vote for in
the presidential election to ask themselves if they are better off
today than when President Trump was in office. Please let that guide
your decision. Click

IN NEWS YOU WON’T HEAR IN THE
MAINSTREAM MEDIA: Kamala’s “Plan” is a death knell for
American manufacturing.
Kamala Harris outlined an
"economic philosophy" focused on
manufacturing — all in a desperate attempt to distance herself from
her own failure to deliver over the past four years.
Kamala doesn't support
manufacturing. Kamala killed 24,000
manufacturing jobs last month alone — and after nearly four years,
"created" just 32,000 manufacturing jobs when considering jobs added
back post-pandemic and massive downward
revisions. Manufacturing has declined since she took office as the
industry sees some of the fastest
contractions on record.
"Tax Queen" Kamala's plan to keep
manufacturing jobs in America? A 33%
tax hike on all domestic production, the largest
capital gains tax hike in history, a wealth confiscation tax on unrealized
capital gains, a massive
national energy tax — and
more.
President Trump, who created
nearly half
a million manufacturing jobs in his first three
years, has an actual plan to bring jobs BACK to America:
- President Trump's "MADE
IN AMERICA" tax rate will cut the business tax rate from 21% to
15% for employers who make their products in the USA and charge a
tariff on companies that don't.
- President Trump will cut energy prices in half within his first
year and double the grid capacity to compete with China and other
countries.
- President Trump will cut ten existing regulations for every new
regulation put in place.
- President Trump will impose a 100% tariff on every automobile
manufactured by a Chinese plant in Mexico—and the only way they'll get
rid of it is by building a plant in the U.S.
If Kamala was serious about protecting
American workers and their jobs, why hasn't she done it already? She
has been in office for nearly four years. She has unleashed
devastation on the working class with sky-high prices, shrinking
wages, higher energy costs, and tens of millions of illegal aliens
taking over our communities.
Her approach isn't just "pragmatic."
It's a death wish for American manufacturing and American workers.
Under President Trump, foreign
nations will be worried about THEIR jobs coming to America — not the
other way around.
AROUND THE DISTRICT:
On Monday, my good friend Sunny Patel
opened his home for a great event supporting my campaign. We talked
about many issues small businesses face. Thank you to Sunny and his
friends and family for hosting us.
On Tuesday morning, I was happy to attend
the 29th Annual Pocono Prayer Breakfast at Kalahari Resort, where over
1,000 people gathered in faith and community. It was great to hear
from our keynote speaker, veteran MLB player Darryl Strawberry, who
delivered a powerful message about hope. I appreciated the opportunity
to address the attendees, discuss the importance of faith, and provide
an update from Washington.
After the prayer breakfast, I had the
opportunity to speak at a meet-and-greet for my friend and U.S. Senate
candidate Dave McCormick and Rob Bresnahan, our Republican candidate
in the 8th congressional district.
I attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony at
the Wyoming County Healthcare Center, formerly Tyler Memorial
Hospital. With Guthrie now providing medical services and a full-time
ambulance service, the center is fully operational, restoring vital
healthcare access to Wyoming County. Thanks to Bill Ruark and his
family, who purchased and revitalized the property, the Wyoming County
Healthcare Center is paving the way for more accessible healthcare in
the region. Supported by a $213,000 Appalachian Regional Commission
(ARC) grant my office helped secure, as well as contributions from the
Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) and the AllOne Foundation, the
center is now ready to meet the healthcare needs of Wyoming
County.
I was able to tour the iconic Yuengling
Brewery in Pottsville, right in the heart of Pennsylvania's ninth
district, alongside State Treasurer Stacy Garrity. As America's oldest
brewery, Yuengling is a testament to the enduring legacy of
family-owned businesses and their impact on our local economy.
Employing hundreds of hardworking Pennsylvanians, Yuengling Beer is a
prime example of how companies like this drive economic growth. It’s
always great visiting this family business, still proudly run by Dick
Yuengling and his four daughters, Jen, Wendy, Debbie, and Sheryl.
On Thursday evening, Brian, Michael, and
John Rich hosted a special event for me at their car museum in
Schuylkill County. Thank you to all who attended and contributed
towards victory in the Republican Party.
We participated in a “Gas Price Drop” event in Tamaqua with
Americans for Prosperity - Pennsylvania on Friday. This was an
excellent opportunity to connect with hardworking Pennsylvanians and
provide much-needed relief at the pump. AFP lowered the gas price at
Pantry Quik to $2.38 per gallon—the same price when Biden and Harris
took office. We shared with customers how this administration’s
excessive spending, overregulation, and anti-energy policies drive
inflation and impact families across our district. I want to thank
everyone who came out and to Pantry Quik for hosting. House
Republicans and I will continue fighting for policies that strengthen
our economy, restore American energy dominance, and make life more
affordable for all Americans.
I went to Harrisburg for the Pennsylvania
State GOP Fall Dinner on Friday evening. I was there with my former
colleague and former Republican candidate for governor of New York,
Lee Zeldin. We addressed a great group of Republican leaders from
across the Commonwealth. I want to thank PA GOP Chair Lawrence Tabas
and the team for hosting a great event.
