In one month — on November 6 — the votes will all have been cast in this year’s elections. Not every vote will be counted at that point. Not every race will be called at that point. And we may be waiting to see what the future of state legislatures, state supreme courts, Congress, and the presidency will hold. 

But on Wednesday, November 6, while campaigns are closing up shop, NDRC’s hard work will continue. We’ll continue our work of growing national and state networks of fair maps champions, pushing reform efforts across the country, and mobilizing grassroots support to build toward a more fair redistricting process.  

With one month to go, this is a great time to support pro-democracy, pro-voting rights candidates in their final push before the election and streamline your support going forward. That’s why we’re asking you to start your monthly gift today — and watch your second monthly gift go through the day after Election Day as a sign of your ongoing commitment.

Our average online gift is $35, and we appreciate every penny. If that turned into a monthly gift of $5, NDRC would be able to know our resources on hand, month after month, to fund our continuing strategy of protecting fair maps, combating ongoing gerrymandering, and ensuring leaders reflect and respect the will of the people.

We don’t know what the election results will hold in a month, but with our community behind us, we know we’ll be able to stop map manipulation that erodes our democracy. 

After all, there is no “off season” in redistricting, there are plenty more milestones to hit on the path to winning fair maps after the next Census, and policy decisions on some of the most pressing issues — like reproductive freedom, health care, education, and LGBTQ+ rights — are to come after the election.
