John: Robert has spent over 20 years on death row. Today, we’re asking for just one minute of your time to read Robert’s story and join the growing movement to stop his execution:

Robert is an innocent father with autism on death row in Texas for a crime that never occurred.

He was a committed, loving, and present father to his chronically ill, 2-year-old daughter Nikki. Tragically, Nikki passed away from an undiagnosed pneumonia and inappropriate prescription medications that made it harder for her to breathe. She sustained a short fall from bed in the night, then, after falling back to sleep, did not wake up again. Robert was wrongfully convicted of her death using the now-debunked “shaken baby syndrome” hypothesis.

In losing his daughter, Robert also lost his freedom. He could lose his life based on a crime that never occurred.

Despite the overwhelming medical and scientific evidence that now shows Nikki died of accidental and natural causes, not homicide, Robert is scheduled to be executed on Oct. 17.

His case is attracting widespread and bipartisan support from Texas lawmakers, former federal judges,, best-selling novelist John Grisham, and even the former lead detective on his case — who now believes he contributed to an innocent person being sent to death row. We need to build on this momentum and pressure Gov. Abbott to stop Texas from making an irreversible mistake.

John, will you join these groups in urging Gov. Abbott and the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles to stop the unjust execution of Robert? We only have 11 days until his scheduled execution date, so please act now:
