The Harris-Walz ticket has reduced Trump’s 18 point difference by double digits. The race, according to the nationally recognized Des Moines Register poll, now stands at 43-47 Harris to Trump. |

This is a significant improvement for Democrats in Iowa, with such a massive shift likely signaling that down-ballot Democrats will also have their chances improved by the newfound popularity of our nominee. |

The Republicans have the exact opposite issue. Every weird, unhinged, or crazy thing Trump says drags down the Republicans beneath him, forcing them to address his unscrupulous claims and their own dealings with similar rhetoric in the past. |

Voter turnout for the Democrats this year will likely be high as well, as the Register also reports that optimism among Democrats jumped from a low 45% in June to a whopping 80% in September. Democrats are fired up, and ready to go to the polls to make their voices heard. |
