For 364 days, people in Gaza have lived each day in terror and grief. The health system is in a state of total collapse and basic necessities such as fuel, water, and food are nearly impossible to obtain.
With the unyielding violence driving women and girls from their homes and into overcrowded spaces, basic hygiene supplies like menstrual products have become out of reach.
That’s why UNFPA is working tirelessly to make these supplies accessible for all who need them.
Since conflict erupted, UNFPA has distributed more than 50,000 Dignity and Reproductive Health Kits to women and girls thanks to your generous gifts.
“May God bless you, because this is the first time I have received such a package since the day we were displaced,” said one recipient of a UNFPA Dignity Kit.
“All the items in the bag are not available in the first place, and even if they are, their prices are very expensive,” said another.
“All the items in the bag are crucial, and we truly need them,” added a third.
Each Dignity Kit costs only $15 to create, but the contents of each kit are priceless to the recipients.
So before the crisis in Gaza eclipses the one-year anniversary tomorrow, will you deliver the gift of dignity to women and girls? Make a gift to deliver Dignity Kits to those who need them around the world:
We condemn the violence in Gaza, the West Bank, and Israel, and echo the UN Secretary-General’s call for a sustained humanitarian ceasefire and the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages by Hamas. The suffering must end and peace must prevail.
Thank you for being there.
