Hi, friend — did you see me on MSNBC this morning?
A LOT has happened these last few days: On Friday, I received the official endorsement of former President Barack Obama, which came just after Rick Scott dropped another $10 MILLION on ads to defeat me.
And in just two days, Donald Trump will broadcast his live town hall, right here in Florida. Meanwhile, Rick Scott is still running scared as he continues to ignore invitations to meet me on the debate stage — flat out refusing to answer questions about facing off in a debate. The tides are turning, friend — and the polls are showing it! A recent poll shows me just ONE point behind Rick Scott.
And friend, with the help of this grassroots team, I know we can pull ahead and defeat him.
With just 30 days left until Election Day, my team and I are doing everything we can, from traveling across Florida to connect with voters, to launching brand new TV ads — in English and Spanish — so we can fight back against Rick Scott's attack ads. And I had some particularly exciting news to share: I just released our latest ad exposing the truth about Rick Scott's horrendous record on natural disaster relief. (You can watch it here!)

That's why I was so glad to discuss these major updates on MSNBC to spread the word nationwide about how high the stakes are in Florida's elections.
Listen: Rick Scott co-sponsored a nationwide ban on abortions, he wrote the plan to end Medicare and Social Security, and he wants to raise taxes on the middle class. This is a guy whose agenda is too extreme for even Mitch McConnell — and now he’s running to take McConnell’s place as the next Senate Republican leader.
Friend, we absolutely cannot let him become the Senate majority leader this November.
Make no mistake: Mitch McConnell's time as Senate GOP leader was one of the worst things to ever happen to the Senate. It will take years for our country and our democracy to fully recover from his decades of corruption, cronyism, extremism, and obstruction.
But Rick Scott as Senate GOP leader would be much, much worse.
He's already spent nearly $30 MILLION running ads to defeat me, and he can keep writing checks from his massive fortune of almost a quarter-billion dollars. Last time around, he spent $64 million of his own fortune to buy his seat.
I'm not just up against an extremist, friend — I'm up against a multimillionaire extremist. With this momentum on our side, we have a golden opportunity to build the resources it'll take to retire him, so long as I can count on your help. Will you please rush $5 to help me build a grassroots campaign that can defeat Scott's fortune, flip Florida blue, and stop the GOP's anti-choice extremism in Florida and across the nation?

Thank you for being a part of this movement to turn the tides in Florida.
