Hi John,

The May 19th Primary Election is less than 2 weeks away. We’re in the final push to elect new environmental champions. Chip in today to support our work.

And if you haven’t already had a chance, visit our website to check out our Virtual Celebration for the Environment and meet some of the pro-environment candidates we’ve endorsed in the primary election.

Thanks for all you do.

Sincerely,
April Christenson, Development Associate OLCV

Hi John,

I hope you are well.

I have exciting news to share with you as we head into the weekend--OLCV’s first-ever Virtual Celebration for the Environment is now live! Visit our website to check it out.

You can watch a webinar update on our work from OLCV Executive Director Doug Moore, and video interviews with OLCV-endorsed candidates for office Shemia Fagan for Secretary of State, Eileen Kiely for State Senate District 27, Mary Peveto for Metro Council District 5, Phil Chang for Deschutes County Commissioner Position 2, and Tera Hurst for Portland City Council Position 2.

This isn’t the event we were expecting to be putting on today. Our Annual Celebration for the Environment is usually a gala at the Portland Art Museum with nearly 400 people in attendance. That event is critical to funding our electoral work, which makes it all the more difficult to have to postpone it during an election year.

If you can, please make a contribution today to support our work. Our Presenting Sponsor OBRC/Bottle Drop and a small group of generous donors are matching all donations dollar-for-dollar up to $3500 from now until Tuesday, May 5th. We are well on our way to meeting that goal, but we still need the help of generous donors like you. Donate today and have your gift doubled!

Our lives have been turned upside down by the COVID-19 pandemic, but our work protecting Oregon’s people and places can’t stop. We have big plans for the rest of 2020 and beyond, but we can’t accomplish any of it without electing environmental champions like Shemia Fagan, Mary Peveto, Tera Hurst, Eileen Kiely, Phil Chang, and others. If you can’t donate, please consider being a stay-at-home volunteer this election season and connecting with other voters from the comfort of your own home. And, of course, vote by May 19th. YOU make a difference!

I hope that you enjoy the Virtual Celebration for the Environment. We are learning new ways of connecting with you during this era of social distancing. We’d love to hear your feedback and any ideas you might have.

We’re in this together.

Sincerely,
Doug Moore, Executive Director OLCV

Staying in touch via the Oregon League of Conservation Voters’ email list is the best way we have of keeping in regular contact with supporters like you and letting you know about the ways you can take action to protect the environment. You can unsubscribe from our supporter list, but if you leave, it will be harder for you to stay involved with OLCV and continue the work that you’ve been such a critical part of. OLCV wins environmental policy fights and elections because of dedicated activists like you, and we’d hate to see you go.
