In just a moment, we are going to ask you to make a contribution to Elissa Slotkin's campaign for U.S. Senate before our final FEC fundraising deadline of the campaign ends. But before we do, please let us explain why this request is so important.

First, you may be asking yourself ... didn't you just have an FEC fundraising deadline?

And the answer is yes. But there is one, final deadline before Election Day. It's called a "Pre-General" deadline, and it is the last time we'll publicly file our reports for the world to see.

This is arguably the most important one of the campaign.

Because when we file, all of those outside spending organizations will look at the polling alongside our report and they'll make their final spending decisions. That goes for those who would spend to help us win, or those who will spend to defeat us (like Mitch McConnell's super PAC).

And because these deadlines drive a lot of fundraising, it's also a time we will make our final spending decisions of the campaign.

We know if we have the resources, we'll win this race. But because emails like this drive the majority of the money we raise, it means we have to ask. So please:
