Well, it's official. We made it out of the terrible twos! Making it to three years is a huge milestone for any small business or new organization and during this time of crisis and uncertainty we are especially thrilled and grateful that we have made it this far. In three years we have changed almost 5000 lives with new IDs, obtained over 10,000 documents, have worked with over 150 partners across the country, and have been featured everywhere from TIME Magazine to MTV, which made us feel like the cool kids for possibly the first time ever.
On the voting side, 70% of our clients register when they get IDs with us. Of that group, 40% voted in 2018 and 45% of those voters didn't vote in 2016! We are incredibly proud of the months-long, hands on GOTV program that we have developed and are already working hard to develop a virtual and vote by mail version of GOTV and voter education for this November.
On top of that, we met you, our amazing supporters who have been with us from our very first days when I was all alone driving across the country trying to convince myself that quitting my job was not the craziest thing I had ever done to when I ran around my friend's apartment in Virginia screaming when we got our first ID, to now, when our incredible team have been absolute troopers working hard to continue to serve our clients (we're getting IDs virtually!) during a global pandemic.
I will never be able to thank you enough for your support, and I will always be so proud of the work that we have done together. And this is just the beginning.
