As the humanitarian crisis in Gaza nears the one-year mark, we are asking our most dedicated supporters to step up and help us reach our $100,000 goal to deliver lifesaving maternal health care to pregnant women, new mothers, and their newborns.
Will you rush an emergency gift today and be there for the women and girls who need our support? [[link removed]]

After months of fear and displacement in Gaza, it was finally time for Malak to give birth to her son.

“I was shouting for someone to bring a doctor. They were busy with more urgent cases. They came when the fetal heartbeat weakened significantly because the machine started to beep so they had to suction my baby out,” she told us. “His birth wasn't easy.”

“When I gave birth to Khalid, as the first grandchild in the family, he would have been welcomed with a big celebration. I would have come back home to homecooked chicken soup and many other things.”

Instead, Malak was discharged within hours of giving birth, with no access to postpartum care. She returned to a tent in Khan Younis.

“I never imagined giving birth to him and coming back to a tent. I really wish him a better life than mine.”

Gifts from supporters delivered the equipment and services that helped Malak safely give birth to her son Khalid. But it’s not enough — as Malak now embarks on raising her son amid devastating conditions, and many more women like her prepare to give birth.

This is motherhood in Gaza. Will you deliver the gift of lifesaving care and reach more women like Malak who are giving birth and raising children through this catastrophic crisis? [[link removed]]

We condemn the violence in Gaza, the West Bank, and Israel, and echo the UN Secretary-General’s call for a sustained humanitarian ceasefire and the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages by Hamas. The suffering must end and peace must prevail.

Thank you for being there for women like Malak.
