Friends,
In recent months, data from the coronavirus pandemic has highlighted an alarming pattern: people of color are disproportionately dying from the virus.
That’s why last week, Kamala introduced a bill called the Covid-19 Racial and Ethnic Disparities Task Force Act. It would set up a task force to address the racial disparities in coronavirus cases and deaths.
Kamala’s bill would require the taskforce to use demographic data to develop funding and policy recommendations for FEMA and other agencies.
This is a major step towards combating inequity in the health care system and ensuring that all Americans will be cared for regardless of their race or ethnicity.
This work is incredibly important, which is why today we are asking if you will sign on to support Kamala’s bill to address the racial disparities related to the coronavirus?
Kamala is working tirelessly in the Senate to bring relief to working families during these uncertain times.
This bill is the latest example of that, and a necessary step to fully understand the impact of this virus in the hardest hit communities.
We hope you will join us in supporting this bill so we can begin finding ways to deliver relief to communities being disproportionately affected by the coronavirus.
For the people,
Team Kamala
