I know the media will never give President Biden the credit he deserves
but I just have to say the history student in me is still geeking out.

He faced unprecedented challenges – from the largest economic downturn
since the depression to the largest pandemic since the Spanish flu. In
three years, he not only got kids back in school, but got our economy on
track growing faster than any of the G7 with the one of the lowest rates
of inflation by far. (It was still high but far less than most countries.)

At the same time he passed the largest climate spending ever of any
country in human history, brought chip manufacturing back to the US, added
Finland and Sweden to NATO, created the first Office of Gun Violence
Prevention ever that oversaw a 20% reduction in gun homicides in Q1 2024,
passed the first federal gun law in 30 years that has stopped well over
800 high risk people from buying semi automatic rifles like the AR-15, put
billions into school and community safety programs, and so much more.

I think the number one reason Biden was able to do this (besides
incredible staff) was because he was first elected to the Senate when he
was 29 and had over 50 years experience on the Hill by the time he became
President.

Time and time again we see the sooner someone starts in elected office and
the more experience they get the better the president they are:

* FDR was 28 when first elected in NY.
* LBJ was 28 when he was elected to Congress.
* Lincoln was 25 when he was first elected to the IL House.

That’s why I’m so excited to see what comes from the young candidates
Leaders We Deserve endorses. All of them are generational leaders under 35
and all of them need your help to get their start in the critical races
they are campaigning in RIGHT NOW.
