Here’s the situation:

The polls are trending in the wrong direction. Wisconsin’s Senate race has officially tightened to a statistical tie.

And now Republicans are doubling down. After spending $51 million against Tammy, Mitch McConnell’s super PAC added $17 million more to spend against her. As of today, Tammy Baldwin is officially being outspent.

With things trending in the wrong direction, Tammy knew she had to give it her all and immediately fight back. Her team made the difficult decision to green light additional spending that wasn’t in their budget. Their investment is going directly toward new ads because this outside spending cannot go unanswered.

This was a risky decision. We cannot afford for Tammy to be forced to make budget cuts before Election Day, so Chris told her our grassroots team would help come through and fill their budget gap.
