Friend,
Earlier this morning, the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments in Trump v. Pennsylvania, a landmark case for religious freedom and reproductive freedom.
At the center of this case is a set of Trump rules that would allow employers and universities to invoke religious or moral beliefs to deny birth control coverage guaranteed by the Affordable Care Act to workers and students. If allowed to go into effect, these rules would violate religious and reproductive freedom for millions of people.
At 8 p.m. ET tonight, AU’s President and CEO Rachel Laser will join allies and experts for a virtual panel discussion of this case. Click here to RSVP: [link removed]
Hosted by Jessica Pieklo of Rewire News, this panel also features U.S. Rep. Judy Chu (D-Calif.), Katie O’Connor from Demand Justice, Fatima Goss Graves from the National Women’s Law Center, Julia Peter from the Center For Popular Democracy, and Alicia Baker, an ordained minister who was an AU plaintiff from a previous lawsuit challenging the Trump birth control rules.
