We are planning to hold a day of action on Friday, May 8th in honor of Child Care Provider Appreciation Day in collaboration with the Ready for Kindergarten Ready for College Campaign, Winning Beginning New York, Empire State Campaign for Child Care, and New York State Network for Youth Success.
Child care and afterschool care are essential to New York’s recovery. Providers and families need New York to invest the remaining $134M in CARES Act Funds and $88M in committed state afterschool funds immediately to support these providers and the families they serve!
Here’s how you can join us on Friday, May 8th:
Host a local car parade celebrating the child care providers in your area.
Join us on social media for a Childcare Virtual Rally
Post with us from 10-11 a.m. using #FundChildCare
Afternoon: Naptime tweeting and share your video statements
We will be sending emails and tweeting at lawmakers throughout the day.
Stay tuned for the toolkit!
