Friend,
The 2020 election is important for so many reasons. But for me, it holds a special significance.
It will be the first election that I, an eighteen-year-old and soon to be college student, will be able to vote in. I could not be more thrilled to cast my ballot for Attorney General Josh Stein in November.
I have been an intern with the Attorney General’s campaign since February 2019, my junior year of high school. I got started with the campaign because of Josh’s dedicated fight against the vaping industry, which cynically targets young people like my friends and me.
Josh has been a strong and committed leader in battling the opioid epidemic. He has proven that he’s not afraid to confront large corporate interests to do the right thing. Especially now, in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, having courageous leaders who care about public health is more important than ever.
The opportunity to volunteer for Josh has allowed me to make a difference in my community. And it’s given me a platform to connect with my fellow North Carolinians over the many important issues facing our state.
I believe in the importance of getting involved, and I believe in Josh.
I look forward to working together to win in November.
