Last month, many people thought we had a problem on our hands. We were short of the 10,000 signatures needed to get Ed on the ballot.
The final local caucuses, where we’d been collecting them, had been canceled, and any other in-person campaigning was out of the question. So we turned to you to help us carry out a system of mailing nomination papers and getting them back.
When we started this process, we weren’t quite sure what to expect, but we had faith in this grassroots movement.
Plenty of people doubted that this system would work. They doubted YOU. But you did not agonize. You organized.
Together, we went from having 7,000 signatures to over 25,000 — and counting. That’s incredible. Thanks to you, we collected over 60% more signatures than Joe Kennedy.
Now we need to keep this momentum going. Given the circumstances of this moment, we’re expanding our digital organizing operation big time — more livestreams, new customized digital tools, and more ways for us to connect while we’re apart.
We’re building this movement person by person, and we’re humbled to have you be part of it. Let’s keep organizing, and let’s go win this race!
