John — we can hardly find the words to describe the devastation that Hurricane Helene has left in its wake. What once were vibrant, close-knit communities are now unrecognizable. And that’s to say nothing of the dozens of other climate-related disasters happening across the globe.

Entire towns have been decimated, families are still missing, and survivors are left with the unimaginable task of rebuilding their lives — many without clean water, food, or electricity. The death toll has risen to over 200 lives lost across six states, and the search for missing loved ones continues. Helene’s impact is felt far and wide, as nearly a million people remain without power, and the damage is still being assessed.

In moments like this, we are reminded that these extreme weather events aren’t isolated tragedies. They are part of a broader pattern driven by the climate crisis, a crisis made worse by politicians who continue to accept millions from fossil fuel companies. Fossil fuel companies that downplay and deny their role in this devastation. Enough is enough.

Right now, our hearts are with the people on the ground. The communities torn apart by Helene, the survivors left without homes, and the families still waiting for word on their loved ones. They need immediate help. That’s why we’re asking you to join us and help those impacted by Hurricane Helene and the many other climate disasters unfolding around the globe by making a donation to the American Red Cross today.

Please consider making a donation to the American Red Cross, which is working to provide meals, relief supplies, and shelter to communities impacted by these disasters.

We will get through this together.
