I just returned from northern Florida where so many people are struggling to clean up, and eventually rebuild, following the record-breaking devastation caused by Hurricane
Helene last week.

People are still without power. Homes are damaged and destroyed. Some do not have clean water.

Our Unto disaster relief team has been on the ground this week in Florida clearing debris, especially in underserved areas. Another disaster relief team is now in North
Carolina where our teams are also assisting with clean up. Currently, 1,000 water filters are enroute to help those who do not have clean water. And staff trained in trauma care
will work to help those who have seen and endured so much.

Here are just a couple of updates from our Unto Field Strategists on the relief efforts:

“There’s lots of destruction and people who need help. We’re patching
roofs, doing chainsaw work, and digging people out of this storm. Many
people cannot afford to pay for help, and there’s not enough help
available.”

“Jennings, Florida was ravaged by Hurricane Helene. This town was also
devastated by Hurricane Idalia just one year ago. The county is one of the
poorest in the entire state, and they don’t have access to a lot of
resources. We’ve been blessed to send our disaster response team here
to share the love of Christ and encourage them.”
